Becoming Evolvable
Thriving in a World You Can’t Control
A new book from Dr Beau Lotto. Coming soon.
The world is moving. Faster than ever.AI is remaking work. Conflict is reshaping culture. Relationships are under pressure. Trust is breaking down. The old answer is to grip harder. More certainty. More control. More defence. More performance.
But control is not agency.
Becoming Evolvable is for people who want to do more than talk about growth. They want to evolve. Evolve how they love, live, lead, parent, create, disagree, and repair.
At its heart is one idea:Changing how you enter changes everything.
Conscious entry is a practice. It is the moment before the moment. The breath before the conversation. The brain state you bring before the response fires. Enter with fear, and the world becomes a threat. Enter entitled, and you meet generosity without gratitude. Enter love needing to come first, and your responses block the very thing you most want. Or enter with curiosity, courage, care, and accountability, and the same moment becomes a threshold, where change becomes the engine of your wellbeing.
This book challenges one of the great confusions of modern life: mistaking the practice for the transformation.
Doing yoga on a mat does not make you a yogi. Meditating in a quiet room does not mean you will stop ridiculing the person you say you love in the middle of a conflict. Knowing your patterns does not suddenly erase your impact on yourself, on others, or on the world. Calling something “my trauma” does not undo the harm it still creates, in you, and in what you then do to others while defending against it.
Drawing on neuroscience, perception, complexity, conflict, culture, and hope, Becoming Evolvable is a practical way to move from control to agency, from insight to action, from repetition to evolution.
It is also the beginning of a movement. A community of people willing to become accountable for their impact, on themselves, on others, and on the world. Not people who stay on the loop and call it growth. People who actually want to expand.
